It's Kinda Funny
I find it kinda funny that my moments of clarity and research progress do not come when I spend 8+ hours in the office and classroom - taking notes and coding in R and making PowerPoints and reading hundreds of never ending pages of scientific papers.
Rather I find inspiration while doing laundry and cleaning my apartment (in a pair of jogging pants no less) - when a sudden idea comes into my mind and I feel the urge to find pen and paper and write down equations. To plot lines and imagine the structure of data and how such structures can be manipulated. And when my mind connects dots and I see a solution to the wall I have hit, I feel a sudden rush of overwhelming joy and passion for my work.
Rare moments, but moments I live for.
